Summary

Ueno, a pensioner, lost his wife seven years ago and now lives alone with his second daughter, Akemi. Ueno handles all the household chores in place of Akemi, who is a career woman. One day, Ueno meets a young woman named Marika. He rescues her from the street when she is breaking up with her abusive boyfriend, Kenji. Marika has a panic attack and is having trouble breathing, so Ueno lets her rest at his house.
