Summary
âMosaico criolloâ is not exactly a spoken film: it is a series of filmed musical sketches of several popular genres in four scenes, each one with a description. Joaquina Carreras sings folk song âTriste estĂĄ mi ranchoâ, then GimĂ©nez and SuĂĄrez (âgenuine northern dancersâ) dive into an enthusiastic folk tap dance. After them, Julio Perceval (âdelight of Buenos Aires citizensâ earsâ) executes a piano solo, and âgraceful interpreterâ Anita Palmero sings the tango âBotarateâ, by Acuña and De Cicco.
